Let me just say absolutely fantastic place. I had been looking for a dog for months and was losing hope. I had been to a shelter put paper work in and everything never got called back everyone was so rude. Then I tried a puppy store and please do not even think about a puppy store. Almost got scammed 7000 for a Dachshund. This place is truly unique Tambi has an amazing personality and is so ready for her puppies to find an amazing loving home. She goes above and beyond to make sure you feel safe as well and don’t feel scammed. The dogs are priced amazingly and affordable. And it’s worth the wait if you have to wait for the litter because all the dogs get their shots and anything they need. Once purchasing the dog you also get a travel bag that comes with papers that tell you everything the puppy got and needs. You also get some food, puppy pads, and treats. The place really help me find hope in getting a dog because it was a gift for my fiance. So thank you to Tambi the puppies are amazing and i definitely recommend this place!

My friend and companion Hudson recently passed away at 17 years old. Though not from here the breed has great heritage and pedigree I would consider getting one. They Were Bred to Hunt Badgers

The name “Dachshund” is actually German for badger dog. Dachshunds’ short legs keep them low to the ground to track scents, and their narrow bodies allow them to crawl into burrows, looking for badgers. Despite their small size, Dachshunds are brave and fierce. Over time, they were bred in different varieties to hunt different kinds of prey.

They Come in Two Sizes

Breeders created two different sizes of Dachshunds—standard and miniature. The standard Dachshunds weigh up to 35 pounds and were used to hunt badgers and wild boars. The miniatures weigh up 11 pounds and under.

They Have Three Different Types of Coats

The first British dog to be successfully cloned was a Dachshund named Winnie. Winnie’s owner entered a contest to win the chance to have her dog cloned—a procedure which would usually cost over $60,000. Scientists took a skin sample from Winnie and created Mini-Winnie.
